The House Select Committee tasked with investigating the January 6th attack on the Capitol spent months interviewing witnesses. 

 

In June, it began holding public hearings to share its findings with the American people. 

The Committee found that misinformation and lies about the 2020 election fueled the attack on the Capitol.

Plan to Overturn Election Went Through the States

President Donald Trump and his allies sought to overturn the election results by throwing out votes in five states.

 

Those five states were Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

 

Threat to Democracy Lives On

The threat to American democracy exposed on January 6th has not gone away.
